NOTIFICATION

Under sub-section (2) of section 4 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land

Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.

Whereas, certain land is required for the public purpose of "Establishment of 110/22 KV Gas Insulated Sub-Station, Lawspet, Puducherry" at Saram Revenue Village of Puducherry District.

2. And whereas, the requisition Department viz., the Electricity Department, Puducherry, has submitted a proposal for the acquisition of land at No. 38-Saram Revenue Village of Oulgaret Taluk, Puducherry District, for the said public purpose.

3. Now, therefore, the Government intends to acquire the following land from the land owners/ interested persons located at No. 38-Saram Revenue Village of Oulgaret Taluk, for the public purpose viz., "Establishment of 110/22 KV Gas Insulated Sub-Station, Lawspet, Puducherry" under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.

4. In the process of the said acquisition proceedings, under rule 9(1) of Puducherry Right to Fair Compensation in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Rules, 2016, the State Social Impact Assessment Team has been constituted to carry out the Social Impact Assessment Study in the affected areas of No. 38-Saram Revenue Village of Oulgaret Taluk, Puducherry District.

6. The Social Impact Assessment Team shall carry out the following activities:

1. Consultation With stakeholders of the proposed area including Oulgaret Municipality.

2. Survey (organization) Tahsildar, Taluk Office, Oulgaret will complete the survey of proposed area under acquisition within 15 days from the date of publication of this notification.

3. Public Hearing(s) Social Impact Assessment (S.I.A) Unit will decide the time and place for public hearing before submitting Social Impact Assessment (S.I.A) report.

4. Time-line The Social Impact Assessment (S.I.A) Team shall commence the study within thirty (30) days from the issue of this Notification.The Social Impact Assessment (S.I.A) report and Social Impact Assessment Management Plan (S.I.M.P) to be completed by the S.I.A. Team within six (6) months from the date of commencement of study and to be published in the official website and on the notice board of the concerned offices/authorities.

7. The Social Impact Assessment Team shall submit its report in Form-III and SIMP in Form-IV as per rule 7(4) of the Puducherry Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Rules, 2016, within a period of six months from the date of its commencement.
