PRELIMINARY NOTIFICATION

[under section 11 sub-section (1) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013]

Whereas, the Government is of the opinion that an extent of 00.52.73 H.A.Ca situated at No.47-Thirukanji Revenue Village and an extent of 00.32.00 H.A.Ca situated at 46-Odiampet Revenue Village in the Puducherry District are required for public purpose, viz., "Construction of approach road for the newly constructed bridge across River Sankaraparani connecting Odiampet and Thirukanji Villages in Puducherry." The Social Impact Assessment (SIA) Study was carried out by the Social Impact Assessment Unit and a preliminary investigation was conducted/report submitted by a team constituted by the Special Secretary(Revenue) as laid down under section 4 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. The Social Impact Assessment report was already published.

2. And whereas, the Sub/Deputy Collector (Revenue) South, Villianur, Puducherry, is appointed as the Administrator for preparation of Rehabilitation and Resettlement Scheme of the affected families and therefore, it is notified that for the abovesaid project, the lands measuring to an extent of 00.52.73 H.A.Ca at No.47- Thirukanji Revenue Village and an extent of 00.32.00 H.A.Ca at 46-Odiampet Revenue Village are under acquisition, the detailed description of which are as follows:-

(i) Now, therefore, this notification is made under the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 11 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Act No. 30 of 2013), to all whom it may concern.

(ii) A plan of the land may be inspected in the Office of the Sub/Deputy Collector (Revenue) South-cum-Land Acquisition Officer, Villianur, on any working days during the working hours.

(iii) The Government is pleased to authorise the Sub/Deputy Collector (Revenue) South-cum-Land Acquisition Officer, Villianur, to enter upon and survey land, take levels of any land, dig or bore into the sub-soil and do all other acts required for the proper execution of their work as provided and specified in section 12 of the said Act.

(iv) As per sub-section (4) of section 11 of the said Act, no person shall make any transaction or cause any transaction of land i.e., sale/purchase, etc., or create any encumbrances on such land, without the prior approval of the Sub/Deputy Collector (Revenue) South-cum-Land Acquisition Officer, Villianur, from the date of publication of this notification.

Objections to the acquisition, if any, may be filed by the person interested within 60 (sixty days) from the date of publication of this notification as provided under section 15 of the said Act before the Sub/Deputy Collector (Revenue) South-cum-Land Acquisition Officer, Villianur, Puducherry.
