NOTIFICATION
On the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee convened by the Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi vide Letter F.No. 1/6(1)/ 2025-PD-7, dated 21-02-2025 of the Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi, ad hoc services of Thiru V. Balasubramanian, Planning and Research Department, Karaikal, is regularized in the post of Joint Director with effect from 01-01-2025.
2. Thiru V. Balasubramanian, Joint Director, is placed on Probation for a period of two years with effect from 01-01-2025.

GOVERNMENT OF PUDUCHERRY PLANNING AND RESEARCH DEPARTMENT (G.O. Ms. No. 02/PRD/2025/847, Puducherry, dated 07th April 2025) NOTIFICATION
Commission, New Delhi, Thiru M. Thirunavukarasu, Deputy Director, Planning and Research Department, Karaikal, is promoted to the post of Joint Director (Group 'A' Gazetted), on regular basis with immediate effect.
2. On promotion, Thiru M. Thirunavukarasu, Deputy Director, is transferred and posted in the Planning and Research Department, Puducherry, against the existing vacancy. The Officer shall be placed on probation for a period of two years with effect from the date of joining in the promoted post.
3. Thiru M. Thirunavukarasu will draw Pay in Level 10 of Pay Matrix plus other allowances as admissible under rules. He shall have the option to have pay fixed as per proviso under rule 22(I)(a)(i) of Fundamental Rules, which must be exercised within one month from the date of issue of this Notification.
4. If the officer fails to report for duty on or before 10-04-2025, it will be presumed that he has declined the promotion offered and he will not be considered for promotion for a period of one year from the date of issue of this Notification.
5. This regular promotion is subject to the outcome of (i) Jarnail Singh batch of cases in the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and (ii) O.A. No. 229/2023 titled Thiru N. Nagalingame Periane Vs. UOI and Others in the Hon'ble CAT., Madras Bench.
