Whereas, sub-clause (ii) of clause (b) of sub-section (4) of section 4 of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Servi ces) Act, 2016 (Centr al Act No. 18 of 2016) (herei nafter referred to as “the said Act”), allows performing authentication on voluntary basis, for such purpose, as the Central Government in consultation with the Unique Identification Authority of India and in the interest of State.
