NOTIFICATION

Whereas, the Juvenile Justice Board and Child Welfare Committee in Karaikal District was re-constituted for a period of three years vide G.O. Ms. No. 06/2022/WCD/ SW-IV, dated 21-09-2022 of the Women and Child Development Secretariat, Puducherry and G.O. Ms. No. 07/2022/WCDS/SW-IV, dated 21-09-2022 of the Women and Chil d Develo pment Secretariat, P ud uc herry. The tenure of the Committee/Board expired on 21-09-2025.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 27 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and Rule 16 of the Puducherry Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Rules 2017, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is hereby pleased to accord sanction for extending the tenure of the Juvenile Justice Board and Child Welfare Committee in Karaikal region beyond 21-09-2025, for two months or re-constitution of the Committee / Board, whichever is earlier.
