WOMEN AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT SECRETARIAT(G.O. Ms. No. 09/2025-WCD(SW-IV)/2138, Puducherry, dated 23rd December 2025) NOTIFICATION The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to enhance the quantum of financial assistance to poor parents having only one Girl Child who is studying in 8th to 10th standard and for the purpose hereby makes the following Amendment to the rules - "Rules for the Grant of Financial Assistance to Poor Parents having only one Girl Child who is studying in 8th to 10th Standard" notified in G.O. Ms. No. 23/2005- Wel(SW-IV), dated 20th May 2005 of the Chief Secretariat (Welfare), Puducherry and published in the Extraordinary Gazette No. 37, dated 31st May 2005, (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), namely:– [ 1323 ] 1324 LA GAZETTE DE L'ETAT [PART–II

AMENDMENT

1. Short title and commencement.— (i) These rules may be called "Grant of Financial Assistance to Poor Parents having only one Girl Child who is studying in 8th to 10th Standard (Amendment) Rules, 2025"

(ii) It shall extend to the whole of the Union territory of

Puducherry.

(iii) It shall come into force from the date of its notification in

the Official Gazette.

2. In the said rules, in rule 5, for the figures " 25,000", the words, figures and brackets " 40,000 (Rupees forty thousand only)" shall be substituted.

3. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide their I.D.E.Comp. No. 38866/FD/F5/A1/FC/2025-26, dated 18-12-2025.
