GOVERNMENT OF PUDUCHERRY

WOMEN AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT SECRETARIAT[G.O. Ms. No. 02/2026-WCD (SW-IV)/74, Puducherry, dated 09th January 2026] NOTIFICATION The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to make the following rules further to amend "The Puducherry Old Age Persons and Destitutes Pension Rules, 2011 notified in G.O. Ms. No. 42/2011-Wel (SW-IV), dated 23-12-2011 of the Chief Secretariat (Welfare), namely:– [ 7 ] 8 LA GAZETTE DE L'ETAT [PART–II

AMENDMENT

1. Short title and commencement.— (i) These rules may be called "The Puducherry Old Age Persons and Destitutes Pension (Amendment) Rules, 2026

(ii) These rules shall extend to the whole of the Union territory

of Puducherry.

(iii) It shall come into force from the date of its notification in

the Official Gazette.

2. In the said rule, in clause (1) of Rule 7, for the words, symbols and figures 2000/2500/3500 per mensem, the words, symbols and figures " 2500/3000/4000 per mensem"shall be substituted.

3. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department, vide their I.D.No.E.Comp.No. 16804/FD/F5/A1/FC/230/2025-26, dated 05-01-2026.
