NOTIFICATION
The 22nd May, 2020
No. G.S.R.29/C.A.46/1968/S.37/Amd./2020.-The following draft of
rules further to amend the Punjab Insecticides (Appeal) Rules,1975, which the
Governor of Punjab proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by
section 37 of the Insecticide Act, 1968 (Central Act No. 46 of 1968), and all
other powers enabling him in this behalf, after consultation with the Central
Insecticides Board, is published as required by sub-section (1) of the said
section 37 for the information of the persons likely to be affected thereby.
Notice is hereby given that the draft will be taken into consideration
by the Government on or after the expiry of a period of thirty days from the
date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, together with any
objection or suggestions, which may be received by the Additional Chief
Secretary to Government of Punjab-cum-Financial Commissioner
(Development), Department of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, Punjab Civil
Secretariat-2, Sector-9, Chandigarh, from any person, before expiry of the
period so specified, with respect to the said draft namely:-
DRAFT RULES
1. These rules may be called the Punjab Insecticides (Appeal) First
Amendment Rules, 2020.
2. In the Punjab Insecticides (Appeal) Rules, 1975, in rule 3,-
(i) in sub-rule (a), for the words and signs "Director of Agriculture
and Farmers' Welfare Punjab, Chandigarh", the words
"Government of Punjab" shall be substituted; and
(ii) After clause (a), the following clause shall inserted, namely:-
"(aa) to the Director Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Punjab,
SAS Nagar, if the appeal is against a decision of the licensing
authority (i.e. Joint Director Agriculture (Plant Protection), on 228 PUNJAB GOVT. GAZ., JUNE 5, 2020

an application for the grant of a license to sell, stock or exhibit
for sale or distribution of insecticides in the State by Insecticides
manufacturing units."

NOTIFICATION
The 29th May, 2020
No. G.S.R.30/Const./Art.309/Amd.(3)/2020.- In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India and all others powers enabling him this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to make the following rules further to amend the Punjab Agricultural (Group 'A' ) Service Rules, 2013, namely:-
Rules
1. (1) These rules may be called the Punjab Agricultural (Group 'A') (Second
Amendment) Service Rules, 2020.
(2) They shall come into force on and with effect from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Punjab Agricultural (Group 'A') Service Rules, 2013 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in Appendix 'A', under the heading 'Statistical Wing', after serial no. 2 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely:-
"3 Assistant Statistician/
Field Inspector/Field Officer/ 16 16 15600-39100+7800" Evaluation Officer/
Assistant Marketing Officer
(Statistical)
3. In the said rules, in Appendix 'B', under the heading 'Statistical Wing' after serial no. 2, and the enteries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely:-
"3 Assistant Twenty Seventy (1) Should possess From amongst the Statistician/ -five -five Master's Degree Technical Assistants Field Inspector/ percent percent in Economics or (Statistical wing)
Field Officer/ Mathematics or working under the Evaluation Officer/ Agricultural Economics control of the
Assistant Marketing or Statistics from Director who have Officer (Statistical) a recognised University an experience of

(2) Should have a minimum of three
five years experience years on seniority-
of work in Statistics cum -merit basis
preferably in planning and have good
service organization and record."
