NOTIFICATION
The 10th June, 2020
No. 11/47/2012-4H/1064.-In exercise of the powers conferred by section 54-G of the Punjab Police Act, 2007 (as amended in 2014 and 2018) and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Government of Punjab is pleased to fix following terms and conditions of salary, allowances and other service conditions of the Chairperson of the State Police Complaints Authority:-
1. Term of office:- The term of Chairperson shall be three years from the date on which he enters upon his office.
2. Pay:- The initial pay of Chairman shall be fixed at the same stage as the last pay drawn by him before retirement and the pension (before commutation) shall be reduced from the pay so fixed, He shall continue to draw separately any pension sanctioned to him and shall retain any other form of retirement benefits.
3. Dearness Allowance:- The Chairperson shall be entitled to draw dearness alloance at the rate admissible to the officers of All India Service as revised from time to time.
4. Leave:- The Chairperson shall be entitled to avail Casual Leave only as admissible to an Officer in the rank of Chief Secretary to the Government of Punjab,
5. Medical Facillties:- The Chairperson shall be entitled to medical facilities as admissible to an Officer in the rank of Chief Secretary to the Government of Punjab.
6. Accommodation:- The Chairperson shall be eligible subject to availability to the use of official residence from the General pool accommodation of the type as admissible to an Officer in the rank of Chief Secretary to the Government of Punjab, On the Payment of the license fee at the rates prescribed by State Government from time to time.
Provided that Where a Chairperson is not provided with or does not avail himself of the general pool accommodation, he may be paid House Rent Allowance at the rate as admissible to the officers of All India 332 PUNJAB GOVT. Leave Travel Concession Travelling Allowance, Daily Allowance:- The Chairperson shall be entitled to leave travel concession, travelling allowance and daily allowance at the rate as admissible to an Officer in the rank of Chief Secretary to the Government of Punjab.
