NOTIFICATION

The 18th July, 2020

No.5/62/2016/MEO/DA/ 1564.- In exercise of the Powers conferred by Sub-Rule (1) of Rule 3 of the Delimitation of Wards of Municipalities Rules, 1972 (read with amended Rule 3 (1) (vi)), and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to constitute the Delimitation Board consisting of the following members for the purpose of delimitation of wards of Municipal Council, Rahon District SBS Nagar :-

        1.   Deputy Commissioner, SBS Nagar or any other officer nominated by him in this behalf ;
        2.   Member of Legislative Assembly representing the concerned Municipal Council, Nawanshahr
             District SBS Nagar;
        3.   Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Rahon ;
        4.   Deputy Director, Jalandhar;
        5.   Administrator, Municipal Council, Rahon;
        6.   Executive Officer, Municipal Council, Rahon;
        7.   Sh. Amarjeet Singh (Bitta) S/o Sh. Gura Singh, Mohalla Pahar Singh Rahon, Nawanshahr. (member
             nominated  by  the  Government  vide  Notification  No.5/24/2016/MEO/DA/1492,
             Dated 18-07-2020 ). and
        8.   Sh. Harsh Joshi S/o Sh. Ramesh Joshi, Mohalla Sarrzfan Rahon, Nawanshahr. (member nominated
             by the Government vide Notification No.5/24/2016/MEO/DA/1492, Dated  18-07-2020).
2.      As  per  provisions  of  Rule  5(6)  of  the  Delimitation  of  wards  of  Municipalities  Rules,  1972,  the

( 699 ) PUNJAB GOVT. GAZ. (EXTRA), JULY 20, 2020 (ASAR 29, 1942 SAKA) 700 Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Jalandhar-1 shall be the Chairman of the Board. In his absence, the members present shall elect one member who shall preside over the meeting of the Board as its Chairman.

Note:- All the previous Notifications, if any, w.r.t. constitution of Delimitation Board in respect of above mentioned municipality operative shall be deemed to have been cancelled with immediate effect from the date of issuance of this notification.
