NOTIFICATION

The 28th July, 2020

No.5/14/2020/MEO/DA/ 1805.-In exercise of the Powers conferred by Rule 3 of the Delimitation of Wards of Municipal Corporation Order, 1995 and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to constitute the Delimitation Board consisting of the following members for the purpose of fresh delimitation of wards of Municipal Corporation, Kapurthala District Kapurthala:-

1. Deputy Commissioner, Kapurthala or any other officer nominated by him in this behalf ;

2. Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Kapurthala;

3. Member(s) of the Punjab Legislative Assembly representing the Municipal Corporation, Kapurthala wholly or partly;

4. Deputy Director, Urban Local Bodies, Jalandhar;

5. Additional/Joint /Assistant Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Kapurthala;

6. Sh. Manpreet Singh S/o Baljeet Singh, House No.34, Rajeev Gandhi Enclave, District Kapurthala (member nominated by the Government vide Notification No.5/25/2016/MEO/DA/307, Dated 04-03-2020).

7. Sh. Vinod Kumar Sood S/o Sh. Gopal Krishan Sood, B-3/42, Jatpura, Kapurthala District Kapurthala (member nominated by the Government vide Notification No.5/24/2016/MEO/DA/307, Dated 04.03.2020).

2. As per provisions of Sub Clause (1) of Clause 5 of the Delimitation of Wards of Municipal CorporationOrder, 1995, the Director Local Government Punjab shall be the Chairman of the Board. In his absence, Chairman may be elected from amongst the members present in the meeting. ( 753 ) PUNJAB GOVT. GAZ. (EXTRA), JULY 29, 2020 (SRVN 7, 1942 SAKA) 754 Note:- Previous Notification(s), if any, w.r.t. constitution of Delimitation Board operative in respect of above mentioned municipality shall be deemed to have been cancelled with immediate effect from the date of issuance of this notification.
