NOTIFICATION
The 4th August, 2020
No. PWD-BR307/25/2020-1BR3/59204/2020.-Whereas it appears to the Government of Punjab that the land is required in the Jurisdiction of Punjab Government, at public expense, for public purpose, namely, for construction of Rajpura-Bathinda Double Line Project of Ambala Division of Northern Railway. It is hereby notified that land in the area specified below is likely to be required for the above purpose.
This notification is made under the provisions of Section 11(1) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in land acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, to all whom it may concern.
The Social Impact Assessment Study for these Villages has already been carried out by the SIRD and Centre for Research in Rural and Industrial Development, Chandigarh under Section 4of theRight to Fair Compensation and Transparency in land acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, for the same project as above and the same was reviewed by the Expert group, the recommendations of which have been accepted by the Government of Punjab. The Social Impact Assessment Report is available in Punjabi & English in the office of the Sub Divisional Magistrate cum Land Acquisition Collector, Bathinda District Bathinda and is also available on website of Punjab Govt. Therefore there is no need to conduct new SIA Study.
In exercise of the powers conferred by aforesaid Section,the Government of Punjab is pleased to authorize the officer for the time being engaged in the undertaking with their servants and workmen to enter upon and survey any land in the said area and do all other acts required or permitted by that section.
Under Section 11(4) of the Act, no person shall make any transaction or cause any transaction of land i.e. sale/purchase, etc., or create any encumbrances on such land from the date of publication of this notification without prior approval of the Collector.
Objections to the acquisition if any, may be filed by the persons interested within 60 (sixty days) from
( 830 )PUNJAB GOVT. GAZ. (EXTRA), AUGUST 5, 2020 (SRVN 14, 1942 SAKA) 831 the date of publication of this notification as provided under Section 15 of the Act before Sub Divisional Magistrate cum Land Acquisition Collector Bathinda District Bathinda regarding the issues to :
(a) The area and suitability of land proposed to be acquired.
(b) Justification offered for Public purpose.
(c) The findings of the Social Impact Assessment report.
Plans of the land can be inspected in the office of the Sub Divisional Magistrate cum Land Acquisition Collector Bathinda District Bathinda on any working day during the working hours.
For the purpose of Rehabilitation and Resettlement, Sub Divisional Magistrate cum Land acquisition CollectorBathinda, District Bathinda is appointed as Administrator.
