NOTIFICATION

The 4th August, 2020

No.5/14/2020/MEO/DA/1702 .-In exercise of the Powers conferred by Rule 3 of the Delimitation of Wards of Municipal Corporation Order, 1995 and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to constitute the Delimitation Board consisting of the following members for the purpose of fresh delimitation of wards of Municipal Corporation, Hoshiarpur, District Hoshiarpur:-

1. Deputy Commissioner, Hoshiarpur or any other officer nominated by him in this behalf;

2. Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Hoshiarpur;

3. Member(s) of the Punjab Legislative Assembly representing the Municipal Corporation, Hoshiarpur wholly or partly;

4. Deputy Director, Urban Local Bodies, Jalandhar;

5. Additional/Joint /Assistant Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Hoshiarpur;

6. Sh. Sarabjit Sahota S/o Karam Chand, R/o House No. 635, Street No. 7, Guru Nanak Avenue, Hoshiarpur. (member nominated by the Government vide Notification No.5/14/2020/MEO/DA/ 1692 , Dated 04/08/2020 ).

7. Sh. Goresh Saini S/o Sh. Raghuvir Kumar, House No. 346, Guru Nanak Nagar, Hoshiarpur.

(member nominated by the Government vide Notification No.5/14/2020/MEO/DA/1692, Dated 04/08/2020).

2. As per provisions of Sub Clause (1) of Clause 5 of the Delimitation of Wards of Municipal Corporation( 887 ) PUNJAB GOVT. GAZ. (EXTRA), AUGUST 10, 2020 (SRVN 19, 1942 SAKA) 888 Order, 1995, the Director Local Government Punjab shall be the Chairman of the Board. In his absence, Chairman may be elected amongst from the members present in the meeting. Note:- Previous Notification(s), if any, w.r.t. constitution of Delimitation Board operative in respect of above mentioned municipality shall be deemed to have been cancelled with immediate effect from the date of issuance of this notification.
