NOTIFICATION

The 4th September, 2020

No. 5/24/2016/MEO/DA/2200.- In exercise of the Powers conferred by Sub-Rule (1) of Rule 3 of the Delimitation of Wards of Municipalities Rules, 1972 (read with amended Rule 3 (1) (vi)), and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to constitute the Delimitation Board consisting of the following members for the purpose of delimitation of wards of Municipal Council, Urmur Tanda District Hoshiarpur :-

        1.   Deputy Commissioner, Hoshiarpur or any other officer nominated by him in this behalf ;
        2.   Member of Legislative Assembly representing the concerned Municipal Council, Urmur Tanda
             District Hoshiarpur;
        3.   Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Dasuya;
        4.   Deputy Director, Urban Local Bodies, Jalandhar;
        5.   Administrator, Municipal Council, Urmur Tanda;
        6.   Executive Officer, Municipal Council, Urmur Tanda;
        7.   Sh.  Hari Krishan S/o Sh.  Dhanpat Rai, R/o Tanda Distt. Hoshiarpur. (member nominated by the
             Government vide Notification No.5/24/2016/MEO/DA/2119, Dated 04-09-2020). and
        8.   Sh.  Gursewak  Marshal  S/o  Sh.  Rakha  Ram,  R/o  Urmur  Tanda  Distt.  Hoshiarpur.  (member
             nominated by the Government vide Notification No.5/24/2016/MEO/DA/2119, Dated 04-09-2020).
2.      As  per  provisions  of  Rule  5  (6)  of  the  Delimitation  of  wards  of  Municipalities  Rules,  1972,  the

( 1155 ) PUNJAB GOVT. GAZ. (EXTRA), SEPTEMBER 4, 2020 (BHDR 13, 1942 SAKA) 1156 Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Dasuya shall be the Chairman of the Board. In his absence, the members present shall elect one member who shall preside over the meeting of the Board as its Chairman.

Note:- All the previous Notifications, if any, w.r.t. constitution of Delimitation Board in respect of above mentioned municipality operative shall be deemed to have been cancelled with immediate effect from the date of issuance of this notification.
