NOTIFICATION
The 9th September, 2020
No.01/01/2019-4L/1339.-The First Schedule to the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 enumerates the industries which can be declared to be Public Utility Service. "Foodstuffs" is mentioned at Serial No.6 in the First Schedule. Public interest requires that M/s Hindustan Unilever Ltd. Patiala Road, Nabha, District Patiala, Punjab which is engaged in manufacture of milk products be declared a public utility service for the purpose of the above said Act.
2 Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under sub-clause(vi) of clause (n) of section 2 of the Industrial Disputes Act,1947, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to declare M/s Hindustan Unilever Ltd. Patiala Road, Nabha, as a Public Utility Service for the next 6 months from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.
