NOTIFICATION
The 14th September, 2020
No. 5/24/2020-11g4/1711.- The Governor of Punjab is pleased to constitute a steerring committee as under to ensure time bound implementation of the Punjab Slum Dwellers (Proprietary Rights) Act 2020 and to steer the Inter-department issues:
1. Chief Secretary, Punjab Chairperson
2. Additional Chief Secretary ( Revenue) Member
3. Additional Chief Secretary (Forest) Member
4. Additional Chief Secretary (Power) Member
5. Principal Secretary (Public Works) Member
6. Principal Secretary (Water Resources) Member
7. Secretary Local Government Member-Secretary
The above Committee will perform the following functions:-
1. To resolve all inter departmental issues in the implementation of the Act, review and monitor the progress regularly.
2. To make such recommentations to the Empowered Committee as may be necessary to achieve the objectives of this Act.
The Committee may meet as often as mey be necessary but it shall meet once in a two months. The committee may co-opt any other member or invite any other officers or officials of the State Government as deemed necessary to carry out its task.
