NOTIFICATION FOR CONSTITUTION OF COMMITTEE FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF
GOBARDHAN SCHEME
NOTIFICATION
The 25th November, 2020
No. DWSS-DS0DAK(DAKG)/14/2020-DIRECTOR SANITATION/I/114211/2020.-1.0 With a view to
ensure overall cleanliness in villages by converting cattle dung and agro-waste into biogas and slurry, State level committee as per Govt. of India advisory No. S-18017/10/2020-SBM-III-DDWS dated: 19-10-2020 is hereby constituted to implement Galvanizing Organic Bio-Agro Resources-Dhan (GOBARDHAN) in rural areas, under the aegis of Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin.

1.1 The above committee will work in accordance with the guidelines of Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen)
Phase II, New National Biogas and Organic Manure Programme (NNBOMP) of Ministry of New &
Renewable Energy (MNRE), Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation (SATAT) scheme
of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India.
1.2 The committee may meet often as required but shall meet at least once in a quarter.
( 1085)1086 PUNJAB GOVT. GAZ., DECEMBER 11, 2020 (AGHN 20, 1942 SAKA) PART I] 2.0 PEDA is nominated as a Nodal Department for implementing GOBAR-Dhan projects in rural areas of the state. It shall co-ordinate and with Department of Animal Husbandry to identify the Districts for constituting GOBAR-Dhan Cells in District under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner(s).
2.1 Department of Water Supply and Sanitation shall act as coordinating department to maintain liaison with Govt. of India under the SBM G programme.
