NOTIFICATION
The 26th March, 2021
No. PSERC/Secy./Reg./156.- In exercise of powers conferred by Sections 61, 66, 86(1)(e) and 181 of the Electricity Act, 2003 and all other powers enabling it in this behalf, and after previous publication, the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission hereby makes the following regulations to amend the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Renewable Purchase Obligation and its compliance) Regulations, 2011 (hereinafter referred to as "the Principal Regulations"), namely:
1. Short title, commencement and extent of application:
(1) These Regulations may be called the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Renewable Purchase Obligation and its compliance) (Amendment-3) Regulations, 2021.
(2) These Regulations shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
(3) These Regulations shall apply throughout the State of Punjab.
2. Amendment of Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations:
The following new proviso shall be added at the end of Regulation 3(1):
"Provided that the RPO for Captive Power Plants (CPPs) commissioned before 01.04.2016 shall be at the level specified by the Commission for FY 2015-16 and the RPO for CPPs commissioned from 01.04.2016 onwards shall be as specified by the Commission, for the year of commissioning of the CPP. In case of any augmentation in the capacity of the CPP, the RPO for the augmented capacity shall be the RPO applicable for the year in which the CPP has been augmented."
