NOTIFICATION
The 7th April, 2021
No. 16-Leg./2021.- The following Act of the Legislature of the State of
Punjab received the assent of the Governor of Punjab on the 26th day of
March, 2021, is hereby published for general information:-
THE PUNJAB VILLAGE COMMON LANDS (REGULATION)
AMENDMENT ACT, 2021
(Punjab Act No. 16 of 2021)
AN
ACT
further to amend the Punjab Village Common Lands (Regulation) Act, 1961.
BE it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Seventy-
second Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1. (1) This Act may be called the Punjab Village Common Lands Short title and commencement.
(Regulation) Amendment Act, 2021.
(2) It shall come into force on and with effect from the date of its
publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Punjab Village Common Lands (Regulation) Act, 1961, in section 2,
in clause (g),-
Amendment of section 2 of Punjab Act 18 of 1961.
(i) in sub-clause (1), for the words "excluding abadi deh", the
words and sign " but excludes abadi deh, unless otherwise
expressly provided in this Act" shall be substituted; and
(ii) in sub-clause (4), at the end, the word "and" shall be omitted and
thereafter, the following sub-clause shall be inserted, namely:-
"(4 a) vacant land or plot situated in abadi deh or gorah deh
not owned by any person; and".

CORRIGENDUM
The 5th April, 2021
In the Government of Punjab, Department of Legal and Legislative
Affairs, Notification No. 24-Leg./2020, dated the 10th December, 2020
published in the Legislative Supplement of the Punjab Government Gazette
(Extraordinary), dated the 10th December, 2020 vide which the Punjab Land
Revenue Act, 1887 was amended,-
1. in section 20,-
(i) in sub-section (2), For "on", Read "at" ;
(ii) in sub-section (3), For "vide", Read "wide" ;
2. in section 21,-
(i) For "order or" wherever occurred, Read "order of " ; and
(ii) For "forgoing", Read "foregoing".
