NOTIFICATION
The 21st May, 2021
No. RCS/EDU&TRG/EI/5001.-Where as the Governor of Punjab is satisfied that it is necessary to exempt the Punjab State Cooperative Development Federation Ltd. Chandigarh, from the proviso to sub clause 1-D of Sub-section 1 of Section 26 of the Punjab State Cooperative Societies Act,1961 for furthering the objects specified in the bye-laws of the Punjab State Cooperative Development Federation Ltd. Chandigarh.
2.0 Term of Board of Directors of the Punjab State Cooperative Development Federation Ltd. Chandigarh had expired on 02.09.2017. Due to the poor financial conditions of the Punjab State Cooperative Development Federation Ltd. Chandigarh,it was desired that no election should be conducted. After this day to day working committee was constituted in the Punjab State Cooperative Development Federation Ltd. Chandigarh which is operational till day. In eyes of law this committee has no constitutional powers of its own. Therefore it is neccesary to constitute one such working committee which is supported by statutory powers.
3.0 Now, therefore, in excercise of the powers conferred by section 77 of the Punjab State Cooperative Societies Act,1961 (Punjab Act No. 25 of 1961), the Governor of Punjab is pleased to exempt the Punjab State Cooperative Development Federation Ltd. Chandigarh, from the provisions of proviso to sub clause 1-D of Sub-section 1 of Section 26 of the aforesaid act. This exemption is being granted for the appointment of supervisory committee consisting four members in the Punjab State Cooperative Development Federation Ltd. Chandigarh, for day to day work of the society.
3.0 Further to the above, Four member committee of Additional Registrar (Administration), Office of RCS Punjab-Chairperson, Managing Director-the Punjab State Cooperative Development Federation Ltd. Chandigarh, PUNJAB GOVT. GAZ. (EXTRA), MAY 21, 2021 (VYSK 31, 1943 SAKA) 2558 Accountant-the Punjab State Cooperative Development Federation Ltd. Chandigarh, and Deputy Controller (Fianance & Accounts ), Office of RCS Punjab or his nominee is constituted as Supervisory Committee to run the day to day affairs of the Punjab State Cooperative Development Federation Ltd. Chandigarh.
