NOTIFICATION
The 21st May, 2021
No. 12/17/2021-1LG3/1002.- In exercise of the power under section 3 (4a) of Punjab Municipal Act, 1911 and in accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers in its meeting dated 19.02.2021, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to abolish/create following posts in the Department of Local Government:-
1. ABOLITION

1. Regional Deputy Director , Urban Local Bodies, Patiala, 6
Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Bathinda and Ferozepur.
2. CREATION

1. Additional Deputy Commissioner ( Urban Development ) 22 (one in each district)
2. Appointment of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) shall be made from I.A.S./ P.C.S. officers not below the rank of Joint Secretary. However there shall be no change in cadre strength of the I.A.S/P.C.S officers on account of this.
3. There will be no abolition of other sanctioned posts of staff in the offices of the Regional Deputy Directors and the existing staff will be adjusted in the offices of the ADCs (Urban Development).
