No:-RCS/EDU&TRG/EI/5767.-Where as the Governor of Punjab is satisfied that it is necessary to exempt the Palahi Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd. Palahi, Phagwara, Punjab, from the proviso to sub clause 1-D of Sub-section 1 of Section 26 of the Punjab State Cooperative Societies Act,1961 for furthering the objects specified in the bye-laws of the Palahi Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd. Palahi, Phagwara, Punjab .

2.0 Election of the Palahi Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd. Palahi, Phagwara, Punjab, was conducted on 26.2.2020. Some members of the the Palahi Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd. Palahi, Phagwara, Punjab, filed election petition in the Court of Deputy Registrar, Co-operative Societies, Kapurthala. As per the order of Deputy Registrar, Co-operative Societies, Kapurthala, election for Board of the Palahi Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd. Palahi, Phagwara, Punjab, was canceled and administrator was appointed in the society. Term of the administrator of the Palahi Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd. Palahi, Phagwara, Punjab, had expired on 24.03.2020. Members of the Palahi Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd. Palahi, Phagwara, Punjab, have filed CWP No 7446 of 2021 in the Hon'ble Punjab and Haryana Highcourt against the decision of Deputy Registrar, Co-operative Societies, Kapurthala. The Palahi Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd. Palahi, Phagwara, Punjab, is an own funds society. There is urgent need to frame the maximum credit limit (MCL) of members so that members can be provided with fertilisers and cash advancements for their crops.

Therefore it is neccesary to constitute one such ad-hoc working committee to carry out day to day affairs of the society till fresh elections are conducted.

3.0 Now, therefore, in excercise of the powers conferred by section 77 of the Punjab State Cooperative Societies Act,1961 (Punjab Act No. 25 of 1961), the Governor of Punjab is pleased to exempt the Palahi( 2693 ) PUNJAB GOVT. GAZ. (EXTRA), JUNE 21, 2021 (JYST 31, 1943 SAKA) 2694 Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd. Palahi, Phagwara, Punjab,from the provisions of proviso to sub clause 1-D of Sub-section 1 of Section 26 of the aforesaid act. This exemption is being granted for the appointment of ad-hoc working committee consisting four members the Palahi Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd. Palahi, Phagwara, Punjab, to frame the maximum credit limit (MCL) of members and to carry out day to day affairs of the society till fresh elections are conducted.

4.0 Further to the above, four member committee consisting of concerned Branch Manager, concerned Inspector (Audit), concerned Area Inspector and Secretary of the society is constituted as ad-hoc working Committee to carry out day to day affairs of the Palahi Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd. Palahi, Phagwara, Punjab.
