NOTIFICATION

No. RCS/EDU&TRG/EI/5852.-Where as the Governor of Punjab is satisfied that it is necessary to exempt the Sahlo Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd., S.B.S. Nagar, Punjab, from the proviso to sub clause 1-D of Sub-section 1 of Section 26 of the Punjab State Cooperative Societies Act, 1961 for furthering the objects specified in the bye-laws of the Sahlo Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd., S.B.S. Nagar, Punjab.
2.0 Returning officer was appointed in order to conduct the election of the managing committee of the Sahlo Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd., S.B.S. Nagar, Punjab, on 23.12.2020. But Sh. Rulda Singh and others have filed Civil Writ Petition No. 21849 of 2020 in the Hon'ble Punjab and Haryana High Court. Hon'ble Court vide order dated 18.3.2020 has stayed the declaration of election result. Due to which the day to day affairs of the Sahlo Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd., S.B.S. Nagar, Punjab, has been halted. Therefore it is neccesary to constitute one such ad-hoc working committee to carry out day to day affairs of the society till the case has been decided or elections are conducted.
3.0 Now, therefore, in excercise of the powers conferred by section 77 of the Punjab State Cooperative Societies Act, 1961 (Punjab Act No. 25 of 1961), the Governor of Punjab is pleased to exempt he Sahlo Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd., S.B.S. Nagar, Punjab, from the provisions of proviso to sub clause 1-D of Sub-section 1 of Section 26 of the aforesaid act. This exemption is being granted for the appointment of ad-hoc working committee consisting four members in the Sahlo Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd., S.B.S. Nagar, Punjab, to carry out day to day affairs of the society till the court case has been decided or elections are conducted.
4.0 Further to the above, four member committee consisting of concerned Branch Manager, concerned PUNJAB GOVT. GAZ. (EXTRA), JUNE 21, 2021 (JYST 31, 1943 SAKA) 2698 Inspector (Audit), concerned Area Inspector and secretary of the society is constituted as ad-hoc working Committee in the Sahlo Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd., S.B.S. Nagar, Punjab, to carry out day to day affairs of the society.
