No.PWD-BR307/4/2020-1BR3 I/201157/2021/1-4.-Whereas preliminary notification no. PWD- BR307/4/2020-1BR3/I/123300/2020 dated 28.12.2020 was issued under section 11 of"The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation & Resettlement Act, 2013" for acquisition of land for the public purpose namely "Construction of Road Over Bridge in lieu of Railway crossing no. C-154 at Km 330 + 336 on UMB-LDH Section in Focal Point, near Markfed Khanna on Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC)". This Notification was published in Punjab Government Gazette dated 29.12.2020 and in the twodaily newspapers "Dainik Savera" (Hindi version) dated 02.01.2021and "Jagbani" (Punjabi version) dated 06.01.2021. Subsequently Corrigendum no.PWD-BR307/4/2020-1BR3/I/ 179123/2021 dated 07.05.2021of Notification Issued under section 11(1) was Published in Punjab Government Gazette dated 10.05.2021 and in the two daily newspapers "DainikSavera" (Hindi version) dated 18.05.2021 and "Jagbani" (Punjabi version) dated 20.05.2021.

Whereas the Governor of Punjab is satisfied that Land specified below is needed by the Government at public expenses for public purpose namely "Construction of Road Over Bridge in lieu of Railway crossing no. C-154 at Km 330 + 336 on UMB-LDH Section in Focal Point, near Markfed Khanna on Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC)". In this connection, based on the census survey of affected families, a Rehabilitation & Resettlement Scheme was prepared as per provisions of Section 16 of the said Act, by the Administrator-cum-Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Khanna which was reviewed by the Collector Land Acquisition-cum-Sub Divisional Magistrate, Khanna as per provisions of the Section -17 of the Act.

Whereas Commissioner, Rehabilitation & Resettlement has approved the R&R Scheme on Dated 21.05.2021 and forwarded the said report to be made available to the Public and uploaded on the website of Punjab Government as per Section 18 of the said Act. The summary of Rehabilitation & Resettlement scheme includes benefits such as choice of annuity at the lump sum rate of Rs. 5,00,000/- to each affected family, Resettlement Allowance of Rs. 50,000/-.

Andunder the provisions of Section 21 of "The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation & Resettlement Act, 2013" Public notice is made to whom it may concern that Government intends to take possession of the Land, and that claims to compensation and Rehabilitation & Resettlement for all interest in such land along with their objections, if any to the measurement made under section 20, be made to the Land Acquisition Collector-cum-Sub Divisional Magistrate, Khanna.
