NOTIFICATION

The 6th July, 2021

No. PIU/DLIAB/8821.-The Governor of Punjab is pleased to constitute District Level Industrial Advisory Board to formulate and implement policies for the development of industry in Punjab along with resolving grievances of the industry at District Level.

The terms and conditions of the District Level Industrial Advisory Board shall be as under: -

• There will be one District Level Industry Advisory Board for every district in the State, and shall consist of the following:-

1. Chairman

2. Senior Vice Chairman

3. Vice Chairman

4. Atleast 7 other members representing different industrial sector.

• The maximum number of members in any district shall not exceed 20.

• The Chairman/Senior Vice Chairman/ Vice Chairman and the other members of the Board shall be nominated by the Government and their term shall be absolutely at the pleasure of the State Government.

• The term of the Board shall be for a period of three years, and be extended at the discretion of the Govt.

• The Members of the Board shall interact with representatives of Industries, Banks, Financial Institutions and Officials of the State Government and make the recommendations from time to time to the State Government for the revival of Industrial economy and rehabilitation of the existing( 2761 ) PUNJAB GOVT. GAZ. (EXTRA), JULY 7, 2021 (ASAR 16, 1943 SAKA) 2762 sick units and also advise on development of Industries, betterment of Investment scenario and related infrastructure to the State Government along with resolution of grievance of the Industry at District Level.

• The Board will meet at least once in three months.

• The GM, DICs shall be the Convener of the District Level Industrial Advisory Boards and Secretarial Support shall be provided by District Industries Centres.

2. The terms and conditions of the appointment in the aforesaid board will be issued in consultation with Directorate of Public Enterprises & Disinvestment, Department of Finance.
