NOTIFICATION
The 5th July, 2021
No. PWD-BR307/25/2020-1BR3 I/206603/2021/1-4.-Whereas it appears to the Government of Punjab that the land is required in the jurisdiction of Punjab Govt., at public expense, for public purpose, namely, for construction of Rajpura-Bathinda double line project of Ambala Division of Northern Railway. It is hereby notify that land in the area specified below is likely to be required for the above purpose.
The notification for the additional land is made under the provisions of section 11(1) of the Right To Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2016 to all whom it may concern.
The social impact assessment study for these villages has been already been carried out by SIRD and Centre for Research in Rural and Industrial development, Chandigarh. U/s 4 of the RFCTLARR Act 2013 for the same project as above and the same was reviewed by the expert group, the recommendations of which has been accepted by the Govt. of Punjab. The social impact assessment report is available in Punjabi and English in the office of the Sub Divisional Magistrate-cum-Land Acquisition Collector, Bathinda. Therefore there is no need to conduct new SIA study.
In exercise the powers conferred by aforesaid section, the Govt. of Punjab is pleased to authorize the officer for the time being engaged in the undertaking with their servants and workmen to enter upon and survey any land in the said area and do all other acts required or permitted by that section.
Under section 11(4) of the act, no person shall make any transaction or cause any transaction of land i.e. sale/purchase etc. or create any encumbrances from the date of publication of this notification without prior approval of the collector.
Objections to the acquisition if any may be filed by the persons interested within 60 days from the date of publication of this notification as provided u/s 15 of the act before Sub Divisional Magistrate-cum-Land

a) The area and suitability of land proposed to be acquired.
b) Justification offered for public purpose.
c) The findings of SIA report.
The plans of the lands can be inspected in the office of the Sub Divisional Magistrate-cum-Land Acquisition Collector, Bathinda on any working day during the working hours.
For the purpose of Rehabilitation and Resettlement, Sub Divisional Magistrate-cum-Land Acquisition Collector, Bathinda is appointed as Administrator.
