No. 04-CIO/HC/2021/49.-In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Punjab Legislative Assembly (Allowances of Members), Act, 1942 (Punjab Act No.IV of 1942), the Hon'ble Speaker, Punjab Legislative Assembly, on recommendations of the House Committee, hereby makes amendment in Rule 4 of the "Rules for Regulating the use of Accommodation in the Legislative Hostels at Chandigarh" as under:-

2. MLAs who are allotted flat but also need room for 2/3 days for own use 250/-*
3. Family Member of MLA/Ex-MLA 500/-

5. MP from Punjab 100/-
6. MP and MLA from other state Legislatures 300/-
7. Ex-MLA and Ex-MP of Punjab State 250/-
8. Guest of MLA/Ex-MLA/ Minister 1000/-
9. Gazetted officers of other State Govt. with Committees 300/- Official
1000/- Private
10. Penal Rent
Rent +1500/- Note:-
1. For unauthorized occupation of room,penal rent of Rs. 1500/- per day + Room Rent will be charged.

* If room is not vacated,rent will be charged at double the rate.
** ("Dependent Family Member" means Husband/wife, Mother, Father & Dependant Children.)
