NO. SEC-ME/SAM/2023/1412.-In pursuance, of Rule 93 of the Punjab Municipal Election Rules 1994, the Commission hereby fixes the maximum expenses limit which can be incurred by the candidate for election from one constituency as under:-

Candidate for Municipal Corporations:   Rs.3,00,000/-                       4,00,000/-
Candidate for Municipal Councils
Class-I                                 Rs.2,70,000/-                       3,60,000/-
Class-II                                Rs.1,70,000/-                       2,30,000/-
Class-III                               Rs.1,45,000/-                       2,00,000/-
Candidate for Nagar Panchayats          Rs.1,05,000/-                       1,40,000/-

This Notification is issued in supersession of this office notification issued earlier Vide No. SEC-PE/ SAM/2020/138, Dated 06.01.2021.

The said limits will be applicable in all Upcoming Elections.
