Raja Ram Mohan Roy Library Foundation (RRRLF) gives various types of grants to State Central Library and Public Libraries. In order to get grants from RRRLF the State Library Planning Committee (SLPC/SLC) is constituted as follows:-

1.   Administrative Secretary, Higher Education & Languages                  Chairperson
2    D.P.I.  (C)                                                             Member-cum-Convener
3.   Director General RRRLF or his nominee                                   Member
4.    Nominee of Chairman of RRRLF                                           Member
5.   Nominee of Finance Department                                           Member
6.   Librarian Central State Library Patiala                                 Member
7.   One Librarian of Public Library                                         Member
8.   An Educationist/Author/person representing state level organization     Member
     Connected with book production to be nominated by State Government
9.   Assistant Director (Libraries)                                          Member
10. Nominee of Department of Rural Development                               Member
11.  Nominee of Department of Urban Development                              Member

The SLPC will:-

• Prepare perspective and annual plan of library services in the state with particular reference to assistance programs of the Foundation (RRRLF). (516) PART I] PUNJAB GOVT. GAZ., JUNE 2, 2023 (JYST 12, 1945 SAKA) 517 • Ensure payment of state government share and availing of matching grant from the Foundation.

• Select books according to felt need of the community and in conformity with the guidelines prescribed by the Foundation.

• Scrutinize and recommend proposals for other schemes of assistance to the Foundation.

• Ensure proper utilization of assistance by the Foundation, and;

• Perform any other activity conducive to development of library movement in the state.
