NOTIFICATION
The 28th July, 2023
No. S.O. 57/C.A.59/1988/S.102/2023.- WHEREAS an approved Scheme under the provisions of section 99 read with section 100 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act No. 59 of 1988) was framed and published vide Government of Punjab, Department of Transport, Notification No. S.O.43/C.A.59/1988/S.100/2016, dated the 12th May, 2016.
AND WHEREAS the Governor of Punjab is of the opinion that it is necessary to make certain modifications in public interest in the said approved Scheme;
Now, therefore, the following draft of modification, which the Governor of Punjab proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 102 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act No. 59 of 1988), and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, in the said Scheme, is published as required by sub-section (2) of section 102 of the said Act, for the information of the State Transport Undertakings and any other person likely to be effected thereby.
Notice is hereby given that the draft will be taken into consideration by the State Government on or after the expiry of a period of thirty days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, together with any objection or suggestion which may be received by the Secretary to Government of Punjab, Department of Transport, Punjab Civil Secretariat-2, Sector 9, Chandigarh, from the State Transport Undertakings or any other person, before the expiry of the period so specified with respect to the said draft, namely:-
MODIFICATION
In the said Scheme, in the Schedule, under the headings captioned as "Route [(up and down) on a track]" and "Station falling on a route (in sequence)", for item (iv), the following shall be substituted namely:-
"(iv) Shri Guru Ram Sri Guru Ram Dass Ji International Airport
Dass Ji International (Start Point), Mirankot Chowk, Gumtala
Airport to Golden Village (SJS Avenue), Gumtala Bypass,
Temple (Ghee Ranjit Avenue (Hartej Hospital),
Mandi)" Cantonment Chowk (Sarup Rani College),
Rani ka Bagh, Cantonment Police Station, 1174
