No. 04-CIO/HC/2023/47.–In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Punjab Legislative Assembly (Allowances of Members), Act, 1942 (Punjab Act No.IV of 1942), the Hon'ble Speaker, Punjab Legislative Assembly, on the recommendations of the House Committee, hereby makes amendment in Rule 4 of the "Rules for Regulating the use of Accommodation in the Legislative Hostels at Chandigarh" as under:-

5.      MP and MLA from other state                                                1000/-
6.      Ex-MLA and Ex-MP of Punjab State                                            500/-
7.      Guest of MLA/ Minister or Private Person                                   1500/-
8.      MPs/ MLAs and Gazetted Officers of other State Governments visitng      500/- Official
        with the Committees
        Gazetted Officers of other State Governments not on duty               1500/- Private
9.      Penal Rent                                                              Rent +2000/-

Note:-

1. For unauthorized occupation of room,penal rent of Rs 2000/- per day + Room Rent will be charged.

4. If a guest of the MLA does not clear dues of Room rent etc. the concerned MLA will be responsible for payment of same and the same will be deducted from salary of concerned MLA.

5. Booking of room for the Private Persons will only be allowed as per orders of Hon'ble Speaker/ Secretary, Punjab Legislative Assembly

* MLAs who are not having flat,would be charged rupees 100/- for the first room and rupees 500/- for the second room, if required.

** ("Dependent Family Member" means Husband/wife, Mother, Father & Dependant Children.)
