NOTIFICATION

No. EPP/PM Vishwakarma/2023-24/SMC/3577-A.–The Governor of Punjab is pleased to constitute State Monitoring Committee (SMC) for smooth implementation of PM Vishwakarma Scheme in the State of Punjab. It shall be responsible for the operational implementation and monitoring of the Scheme at the State level, it will also act as a bridge between the National Steering Committee (NSC) and the field level setup.

The composition of the State Monitoring Committee shall be as following:

     1.    Principal Secretary / Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Punjab - Chairman
     2.    Director, Industries & Commerce, Punjab – Member Convener
     3.    Secretary/ Director, Rural Development & Panchayat, Punjab – Member
     4.    Secretary / Director, Housing & Urban Development, Punjab – Member
     5.    Secretary / Director Information Technology, Punjab – Member
     6.    Representative of Department of Employment Generation, Skill Development & Training, Punjab
     7.    State Development and Facilitation Office (DFO) Director / In-charge of Ministry of MSME
     8.    State Lead Bank, Punjab
Further, The SMC shall ensure the following:
i.   Co-ordination in roll out of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme.
ii.  Active  participation  of  stakeholder  departments  and  agencies  of  the  State  Governments  facilitating
     implementation of the Scheme.
iii. To facilitate agencies of Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) in providing Skill
     Training to the beneficiaries.

iv. To ensure coordination among banks and financial institutions for smooth provisioning of credit support to the beneficiaries. ( 2283 ) 2284 PUNJAB GOVT. GAZ. (EXTRA), AUGUST 30, 2023 (BHDR 8, 1945 SAKA)

v. To facilitate IT-ITeS related support in implementing the Scheme.

vi. To create awareness about the Scheme at the Gram Panchayat and Urban Local Body level in the State.

vii. To monitor the Scheme implementation and share suggestions or feedback, if any, with the NSC.

The Committee shall be convened once in every quarter or as per the requirement to discuss all the operational and ground-level implementation matters under the Scheme.
