PUNJAB STATE ELECTRICITY REGULATORY COMMISSION

NOTIFICATION

The 29th December, 2023

No. PSERC/Secy./Regu.184.–In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (2) (zk) of Section 181 read with sub-section (2) and (3) of Section 91 of the Electricity Act, 2003 (36 of 2003) and all other powers enabling it in this behalf, the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission, with the approval of the State Government, hereby makes the following Regulations namely:-

1. Short Title and Commencement:

(a) These Regulations may be called the "Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Appointment & Service Conditions of Employees) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2023".

(b) These Regulations shall come into force from the date of their notification in the official gazette of the Government of Punjab.

2. The following shall be added to Group-A posts under Annexure-'A' appended to the Regulations under Regulation 3 (a):-

3. The following shall be substituted to Group-A posts under Annexure-'A' appended to the Regulations under Regulation 3 (a):-

4. The following shall be added to Annexure-'B' appended to the Regulations under Regulation 8 (b):-

5. The following shall be added to Annexure-'C' appended to the Regulations under Regulation 5 (a):-

Post Minimum Qualification and Experience

Secretary to the Minimum Educational Qualification:

Chairperson

Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university.

Qualifying Service Educational Minimum:

Serving/Retired Officers of the Central/State Government/Autonomous

Bodies or PSU under State/Central Government, must have experience

of working on the post of Secretary to Minister/Chairperson/analogous

post.

or

Serving/Retired Officers of the Central/State Government/Autonomous

Bodies or PSU under State/Central Government, having minimum 5

years' experience of working on the analogous post of Private Secretary

in the scale of Rs.56100-177500 on regular basis or emoulments

equivalent to the pay scale.

Nature of experience:

Candidate must have:

i) Working knowledge of Computer; and

ii) Passed matriculation examination with Punjabi as a subject.
