NOTIFICATION

No.347.-In pursuance of power under section 44(3) (a) of the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Acts, 1961 and other powers enabling in this behalf, I, Secretary Punjab State Agricultural Marketing Board exercising the powers of the Board which is delegated to me vide Govt. Memo No. 18(50) M-1-87/1048 dated 08-12-87, confirm regsiter and notify the following amendments in the Punjab Market Committee Bye-Laws 1963 with immediate effect:-
AMENDMENT
In clause (1) of Bye-Laws 28,the Categories-`A`to`E` shall be Substituted namely :-
CATEGORY 'A'
(COTTON - 40 KG) AND WOOL - 20 KG)
1. Unloading Rs. 3.13 paise per unit.
2. Dressing Rs. 2.58 paise per unit
3. Weighing & filling Rs. 6.83 paise per unit.
NOTE:-Out of the charges mentioned at serial No.3 Rs.2.74 paise shall be paid to the weighman and rest Rs 4.09 paise shall be paid to the labourers engaged for this purpose.
CATEGORY 'B'
(CHILLIES DRY-10 KG) AND GROUNDNUT-25 KG) AND Green/Red CHILLI -30 KG) 1. Unloading
Rs.1.23 paise per unit.
2. Sieving (Manual)
Rs.1.36 paise per unit.
3. Dressing
Rs.0.99 paise per unit.

NOTE:- Out of the charges mentioned at serial No. 3, Rs.1.11 paise shall be paid to the weighman and Rs.0.37 paise shall be paid to the labourers engaged in Sweeping and rest RS 2.23 Paise shall be paid to the labuourer engaged for this purpose.
Out of the charges mentioned at serial NO.4, Rs. 0.90 paise shall be paid to the labourers engaged for this purpose. This cost of Sutli is Rs. 0.25 in each case.
CLAUSE (7) of the Bye-Law 28. Maximum two sieving operations per unit are allowed in case of manual cleaning and the rate for manual cleaning (per sieve) will be half of the rate of power operated cleaner. Only one sieving operation in case of power operated cleaner per unit is allowed. More than one power sieving operation per unit are allowed with the consent of seller as per fixed charges.
