NOTIFICATION
The 11th October, 2024
No. 5/24/2016/MEO/DA/25.- In exercise of the Powers conferred by Sub-Rule (1) of Rule 3 of the Delimitation of Wards of Municipalities Rules, 1972 (read with amended Rule 3 (1) (vi)), and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to constitute the Delimitation Board consisting of the following members for the purpose of Delimitation of Wards of Nagar Panchayat Shahkot, District Jalandhar.
1. Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar or any other officer nominated by him in this behalf ;
2. Member of Legislative Assembly representing the concerned Nagar Panchayat Shahkot, District Pathankot.
3. Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Shahkot;
4. Additional Deputy Commissioner, (Urban Development) Jalandhar;
5. Administrator, Nagar Panchayat Shahkot;
6. Executive Officer, Nagar Panchayat Shahkot;
7. Sh.Harjinder Singh Sichewal S/O Sohan Singh Village-Sichewal P.O Chakchela Po-Chakchela District-Jalandhar Punjab-144701, Mobile Number- 94175 70632 (member nominated by the Government vide Notification No. 5/24/2016/MEO/DA/09, Dated: 11-10-2024);
8. Sh.Sarabjit Singh Chatrath S/O Manohar Singh Ward No-1, Gurunanak Colony Lohia Khas, Tehsil Shahkot, Jalandhar Punjab-144629 Mobile Number- 987-260-7403 (member nominated by the Government vide Notification No. 5/24/2016/MEO/DA/09, Dated: 11-10-2024).
2. As per provisions of Rule 5(6) of the Delimitation of wards of Municipalities Rules, 1972, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Shahkot shall be the Chairman of the Board. In his absence, the members present shall elect one member who shall preside over the meeting of the Board as its Chairman.
Note:- All the previous Notifications, if any, w.r.t. constitution of Delimitation Board in respect of above mentioned municipality operative shall be deemed to have been cancelled with immediate effect from the date of issuance of this notification.
