GOVERNMENT OF PUNJAB DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT (MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS BRANCH) NOTIFICATION The 11th October, 2024
No. 5/24/2016/MEO/DA/32.- In exercise of the Powers conferred by Sub-Rule (1) of Rule 3 of the Delimitation of Wards of Municipalities Rules, 1972 (read with amended Rule 3 (1) (vi)), and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to constitute the Delimitation Board consisting of the following members for the purpose of Delimitation of Wards of Municipal Council, Bagha Purana, District Moga.
1. Deputy Commissioner, Moga or any other officer nominated by him in this behalf ; 2. Member of Legislative Assembly representing the concerned Municipal Council Bagha Purana, District Moga.
3. Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Bagha Purana; 4. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Moga; 5. Administrator, Municipal Council Bagha Purana, ; 6. Executive Officer, Municipal Council Bagha Purana; 7. Sh. Raman Mittal, House No. 20-21/01, Shiva Enclave, Moga Road, Baghapurana, District, Moga 142038, Number - +91 98781 00925 (member nominated by the Government vide Notification No.5/24/2016/ MEO/DA/09, Dated: 11-10-2024);
8. Sh. Kaptan Singh, Village Langiana Nawa, Near Royal Park Marrige Palace, Baghapurana, District- Moga, Number - +91 94179 31482 (member nominated by the Government vide Notification No.5/24/ 2016/MEO/DA/09, Dated: 11-10-2024).
2. As per provisions of Rule 5(6) of the Delimitation of wards of Municipalities Rules, 1972, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Bagha Purana shall be the Chairman of the Board. In his absence, the members present shall elect one member who shall preside over the meeting of the Board as its Chairman. Note:- All the previous Notifications, if any, w.r.t. constitution of Delimitation Board in respect of above mentioned municipality operative shall be deemed to have been cancelled with immediate effect from the date of issuance of this notification.
