NOTIFICATION
The 11th October, 2024
No. 5/24/2016/MEO/DA/52. - In exercise of the Powers conferred by Sub rule (1) of Rule 3, of the Delimitation of Wards of Municipal Corporation Order, 1995 (read with amended Rule 3(1) (viii)) and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to constitute the Delimitation Board consisting of the following members for the purpose of fresh delimitation of wards of Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana, District Ludhiana:-
1. Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana or any other officer nominated by him in this behalf; 2. Director, Local Government or any other officer nominated by him in this behalf; 3. Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana; 4. Member(s) of the Punjab Legislative Assembly representing the Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana wholly or partly;
5. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development), Ludhiana; 6. Joint or Assistant Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana; 7. Sh. Abdul Qadir, House No. 5872, Street No. 14, New Shiva Ji Nagar, Near Bhatia Dharmshalla, Ludhiana Central, Mob No. 9876596794 (member nominated by the Government vide Notification No.5/24/2016/ MEO/DA/08, Dated 11-10-2024); and
8. Dr. Deepak Bansal, Ludhiana East HIG – 946, Punjab Housing Board Colony, Jamalpur, Ludhiana, 141010, Mob No. 9815020649 (member nominated by the Government vide Notification No.5/24/2016/ MEO/DA/08, Dated 11-10-2024).
2. As per provisions of the Clause 5(1) of the Delimitation of Wards of Municipal Corporation Order, 1995, the Director Local Government Punjab shall be the Chairman of the Board. In his absence, Chairman may be elected amongst from the members present in the meeting. Note:- Previous Notification(s), if any, w.r.t. constitution of Delimitation Board operative in respect of above mentioned municipality shall be deemed to have been cancelled with immediate effect from the date of issuance of this notification.
