NOTIFICATION
The 11th October, 2024
No. 5/24/2016/MEO/DA/44. - In exercise of the Powers conferred by Sub-Rule (1) of Rule 3 of the Delimitation of Wards of Municipalities Rules, 1972 (read with amended Rule 3 (1) (vi)), and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to constitute the Delimitation Board consisting of the following members for the purpose of Delimitation of Wards of Nagar Panchayat, Baba Bakala Sahib, District Amritsar.
1. Deputy Commissioner, Amritsar or any other officer nominated by him in this behalf;
2. Member of Legislative Assembly representing the concerned Nagar Panchayat, Baba Bakala Sahib;
3. Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Baba Bakala;
4. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development), Amritsar;
5. Administrator, Nagar Panchayat, Baba Bakala Sahib;
6. Executive Officer, Nagar Panchayat, Baba Bakala Sahib;
7. Sh. Surjit Singh Kang S/o Sh. Gurcharan Singh, VPO- Rayya, C/O Charan Singh Commercial College, Rayya, Teh- Baba Bakala, Distt- Amritsar, Mob. No. 8427567080 (member nominated by the Government vide Notification No.5/24/2016/MEO/DA/09, Dated: 11-10-2024); and
8. Sh. Kuldeep Singh Mathrewal, Number – 9464875482,Village Rakhdinewal (Mathrewal) Post Office Kang, Tehsil - Khadoorsahib (member nominated by the Government vide Notification No.5/24/2016/ MEO/DA/09, Dated: 11-10-2024).
2. As per provisions of Rule 5(6) of the Delimitation of wards of Municipalities Rules, 1972, the Sub- Divisional Magistrate, Baba Bakala shall be the Chairman of the Board. In his absence, the members present shall elect one member who shall preside over the meeting of the Board as its Chairman.
Note:- All the previous Notifications, if any, w.r.t. constitution of Delimitation Board in respect of above mentioned municipality operative shall be deemed to have been cancelled with immediate effect from the date of issuance of this notification.
