NOTIFICATION

No. HOME-JD-10ESBM(DISJ)/7/2024-3JUD1/896-899.- In continuation to this office letter No. 1/76/09-3Judl(1)/4523 dated 17.12.2009 and HOME-JD-10ESBM(JDOF)/2/2024-3JUD1/348-351 dated 02.04.2024 on the recommendation of Hon'ble Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, conveyed by its Registrar General vide letter No. 538/Gaz.1/VI.E.34, dated 26.09.2024, and in view of the judgment dated 06.09.2024 of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, passed in Miscellaneous Application No. 267 of 2024 in Civil Appeal No. 3082 of 2022 (arising out of SLP (Civil) No. 33435 of 2018), titled "Anantdeep Singh Vs The High Court of Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh & Anr.," and the judgment dated 20.04.2022 passed in Civil Appeal No. 3082 of 2022, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to recall the orders dated 17.12.2009 and 02.04.2024 qua Shri Anantdeep Singh, a member of PCS(JB), and to reinstate him on his original post with effect from 24.12.2009, the date on which he relinquished charge of the post.
Further, the payment of full salary along with other benefits from 20.04.2022 till the date of fresh termination order dated 02.04.2024 shall be made to him, treating him to be in continuous service. Additionally, 50 percent of back wages from 18.12.2009 to 19.04.2022 shall be released to him, with all benefits admissible under law, also treating him to be in continuous service.
