NOTIFICATION
The 7th March, 2025
No. G.S.R. 11/Const./Art.309/Amd.(1)/2025.- In exercise of the
powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, and
all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased
to make the following rules further to amend the Punjab Water Resources
Department (Engineering) Group 'A' Service Rules, 2023, namely:-
RULES
1.(1) These rules may be called the Punjab Water Resources Department
(Engineering) Group 'A' Service (First Amendment) Rules, 2025.
(2) They shall come into force on and with effect from the date of their
publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Punjab Water Resources Department (Engineering) Group 'A'
Service Rules, 2023 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in Appendix 'A',
for serial No. 4 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted,
namely:-
"4. Sub Divisional 390 390 56100-177500 (Level 18)
Engineer
(This pay scale shall not be
applicable to those persons 5. Sub-Divisional 1 1 56100-177500 (Level 18)
Engineer (Ground (This pay scale shall not be 150

3. In the said rules, in Appendix 'B',-
(i) in serial No. 4, under column 6, for the existing entries, the following
entries shall be substituted, namely:-
" (a) Out of seventy five per cent,-
(i) fifty per cent from amongst the Junior Engineers (thirty eight per cent
Civil, ten per cent Mechanical and two per cent Electrical) working under
the control of the Chief Engineer, who possess a diploma in Civil or
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and who have an experience of
working as such for a minimum period of seven years;
(ii) forty-five per cent from amongst the Junior Engineers (thirty-four
percent Civil and nine per cent Mechanical and two per cent Electrical)
working under the control of the Chief Engineer, who possess a Degree
in Engineering in Civil or Mechanical or Electrical or who possess a
degree of A.M.I.E. from a recognized university or an institution, and
who have an experience of working as such for a minimum period of
three years after obtaining the aforesaid degree; and
(iii) five per cent out of seventy-five per cent from amongst the Circle Head
Draftsman or Head Draftsman working under the control of the Chief
Engineer, who possess a Degree in Engineering in Civil or Mechanical or
Electrical or who possess a degree of A.M.I.E. from a recognized
university or an institution, and who have an experience of working as
such for a minimum period for two years"; and
(ii) after serial No. 4 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial
number and the entries shall be added, namely :-
"5. Sub Divisional - Hundred percent - From amongst the Senior
Engineer Educator (Ground Water Recharging)
an experience of working
as such for a minimum
period of two years." 151

4. In the said rules, in Appendix 'C', after serial No. 4, the following serial
number and entry shall be added, namely :-
"5. Sub Divisional Engineer
(Ground Water Recharging)"

NOTIFICATION
The 6th March, 2025
No. S.O. 19 /P.A.17/1887/S.5/C.A.16/1908/S.5/2025.- In exercise
of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Punjab Land Revenue Act, 1887
(Punjab Act No. XVII of 1887) and section 5 of the Registration Act, 1908
(Central Act No. XVI of 1908), and all other powers enabling him in this
behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to transfer villages Mahru (H.B. No.
352), Tiwana (H.B. No. 354) and Tasalpur (H.B. No. 353) from Sub-Division
or Tehsil Dudhan Sadhan, District Patiala to Sub-Tehsil Ghanaur, Tehsil Rajpura,
District Patiala on and with effect from the date of publication of this notification
in the Official Gazette.
