NOTIFICATION
The 12th March, 2025
No-E-1/P.A.9/1994/S.161/2025/6169.- Whereas the districts of Sangrur and Malerkotla have been re-delimited-vide Government of Punjab, Department of Revenue and Rehabilitation, Notification No.2/3/2016
w.n-2(1)7767, dated the 2nd June, 2021, respectively;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (3) of section 161 of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, (Punjab Act 9 of 1994), and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to direct that with immediate effect, there shall be re-constituted Zila Parishad for each of the aforesaid re-delimited districts and is further pleased to direct that consequent upon the said re-delimitation, there shall be constituted Zila Parishad for each of the district of Malerkotla and Sangrur.
