CORRIGENDUM

No.15/01/2025-3BR3/201.-Whereas policy for Quality Control for Roads in Punjab PWD B&R was issued vide notification no. 10/126/2016-BR1(3)/896574/1 dated 22-12-2016 and Policy for Quality Control for Buildings in Punjab PWD B&R was issued vide notification no. 10/126/2016-BR1(3)/896565/1 dated 22-12-2016, in which some works such as World Bank Projects and where NPMS, NQMs and third party audit is already in place were excluded from the preview of Quality Control Cell of Punjab PWD B&R.
After reconsideration, the above policies had been amended vide corrigendum no. 10/126/2016-BR1(3)/ 100 4493/1 dated 19-6-2017 stating that though the above said works have been excluded from the preview of Quality Control Cell of Punjab PWD B&R but random checking of these works on instruction from PWD Minister / Secretary will be done by the Quality Control Cell of the Department.
Now it has been decided that Quality Control Cell of Punjab PWD B&R should do checking/cross- checking of works even where any third-party auditor, NPMS, NQMs etc. have been appointed irrespective of the cost of the project. The above-mentioned policies for quality control are modified to this extent.
This is issued with the approval of the competent authority.
