NOTIFICATION

The 11th December, 2025

No.4/119/DA(SA-1) MEB/2025/196.-Whereas the Municipal Limits of Municipal Corporation, Bathinda has been extended by the Government and this Municipality is due for election in the year 2026.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 5(3) and Section 6 of the Punjab Municipal Corporation Act, 1976, read with rules 3 and 4 of the Determination of the number of Elected Members of Municipal Corporations Order, 2008 and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to re-determine and specify the reservation of seats on the basis of population as per 2011 published Census figures for the purpose of holding of general election to the said Municipal Corporation, Bathinda given in the table mentioned below:-

Note : All the previous notifications, if any, w.r.t. determination and reservation of seats in respect of above ( 9066 ) PUNJAB GOVT. GAZ. (EXTRA), DECEMBER 12, 2025 (AGHN 21, 1947 SAKA) 9067 mentioned Municipal Corporation operative shall be deemed to have been cancelled with immediate effect from the date of issuance of this notification.
