NOTIFICATION
The 29th October, 2021
No.03/04/2017-4T2/1381.– In partial modification of the Government of Punjab, Department of Transport, notification no. S.O. 42/C.A.59/1988/S.68/2017, dated 4th August, 2017 and all other notifications/ office orders issued in this regard and in exercise of the powers conferred by section 68 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act No. 59 of 1988), and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to constitute the Regional Transport Authorities, for each region as specified under column 2 of the table given below, each consisting of the State Transport Commissioner, Punjab as Chairman, The Secretary Regional Transport Authority to act as Secretary of the concerned region as member , Regional Transport Authority, to exercise and discharge the powers and functions conferred by or under Chapter V and VI of the said Act, on such authorities in the areas, as specified in column 3 of the said table, namely:-

Note: The powers of counter signatures for Stage Carriage/ Goods Carriages permits and private service vehicle permits of other states shall be exercised by the following Secretary, Regional Transport Authorities:-
