NOTIFICATION
The 18th December, 2025
No.3/44/EA(S-2)/MEB/2025/237.-In exercise of the Powers conferred by Sub rule (1) of Rule 3, of the Delimitation of Wards of Municipal Corporation Order, 1995 (read with amended Rule 3(1) (viii)) and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to constitute the Delimitation Board consisting of the following members for the purpose of fresh delimitation of wards of Municipal Corporation, Barnala, District Barnala:-
1. Deputy Commissioner, Barnala or any other officer nominated by him in this behalf;
2. Director, Local Government or any other officer nominated by him in this behalf;
3. Mayor or in his absence the Senior Deputy Mayor and in absence of both, the Deputy Mayor of the Corporation concerned,
4. Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Barnala;
5. Member(s) of the Punjab Legislative Assembly representing the Municipal Corporation, Barnala wholly or partly;
6. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development), Barnala;
7. Joint Commissioner or Assistant Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Barnala;
8. Sh. Harpreet Singh Dhaliwal, Baba Deep Singh Nagar, Ward No 17, Barnala, Punjab- 148101, Mobile No. 98150-02535 (member nominated by the Government vide Notification No. 3/44/ EA(SA-2)/MEB/2025/189, Dated 10-12-2025); and
9. Sh. Jasvinder Singh, Ward No 1, Raikot Road, Sanghera, Barnala, Punjab -148101, Mobile No. 96533-16412 (member nominated by the Government vide Notification No. 3/44/EA(SA-1)/ PUNJAB GOVT. GAZ. (EXTRA), DECEMBER 19, 2025 (AGHN 28, 1947 SAKA) 9193 2. As per provisions of the Clause 5(1) of the Delimitation of Wards of Municipal Corporation Order, 1995, the Director Local Government Punjab shall be the Chairman of the Board. In his absence, Chairman may be elected amongst from the members present in the meeting.
Note:- Previous Notification(s), if any, w.r.t. constitution of Delimitation Board operative in respect of above mentioned municipality shall be deemed to have been cancelled with immediate effect from the date of issuance of this notification.
