NOTIFICATION
The 18th December, 2025
No.4/118/DA(SA-1)/MEB/2025/213.- In exercise of the Powers conferred by Sub rule (1) of Rule 3, of the Delimitation of Wards of Municipal Corporation Order, 1995 (read with amended Rule 3(1) (viii)) and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to constitute the Delimitation Board consisting of the following members for the purpose of fresh delimitation of wards of Municipal Corporation, SAS Nagar, District SAS Nagar:-
1. Deputy Commissioner, SAS Nagar or any other officer nominated by him in this behalf;
2. Director, Local Government or any other officer nominated by him in this behalf;
3. Mayor or in his absence the Senior Deputy Mayor and in absence of both, the Deputy Mayor of the Corporation concerned,
4. Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, SAS Nagar;
5. Member(s) of the Punjab Legislative Assembly representing the Municipal Corporartion, SAS Nagar wholly or partly;
6. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development), SAS Nagar;
7. Joint or Assistant Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, SAS Nagar;
8. Sh. Bhim Sain, Flat No. 225/2, ECME Heights, Extention-2, Sector- 117, SAS Nagar, Distt.
SAS Nagar, Punjab Mobile NO. 96463-553000 (member nominated by the Government vide Notification No. 4/118/DA(SA-1)/MEB/2025/188, Dated 10-12-2025); and
9. Sh. Baljeet Singh, House NO. 881, Sector 77, SAS Nagar, Punjab. Mobile No. 70871-22126 (member nominated by the Government vide Notification No. 4/118/DA(SA-1)/MEB/2025/ PUNJAB GOVT. GAZ. (EXTRA), DECEMBER 19, 2025 (AGHN 28, 1947 SAKA) 9187 2. As per provisions of the Clause 5(1) of the Delimitation of Wards of Municipal Corporation Order, 1995, the Director Local Government Punjab shall be the Chairman of the Board. In his absence, Chairman may be elected amongst from the members present in the meeting.
3. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (2) of Rule 3 of the Delimitation of Wards of Municipal Corporation Order, 1995 the following members sponsored by the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, SAS Nagar are nominated as Associated Members for the purpose of assisting the Delimitation Board constituted above, in its day to day functioning:-
1. Sh. Kamalpreet Singh, Bunny, Member,Ward No. 14;
2. Sh. Jaspreet Singh Gill, Member, Ward No.6;
3. Smt. Aruna Sharma, Member, Ward No. 35;
4. Smt. Gurmeet Kaur, Member, Ward No. 50 and
5. Smt. Harjinder Kaur Baidwan, Member, Ward No. 33.
4. As per provisions of rule 5(6) of the Delimitation Rules, none of the above associated members, shall have right to vote or to sign on any decision of the Delimitation Board.
Note:- Previous Notification(s), if any, w.r.t. constitution of Delimitation Board operative in respect of above mentioned municipality shall be deemed to have been cancelled with immediate effect from the date of issuance of this notification.
