STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS

To expedite the disposal of court cases pending before the various

revenue authorities, key amendments are proposed in the Punjab Land

Revenue Act, 1887.

These amendments will help to avoid the wastage of time of the

litigants. These would help in prevention of unnecessary harassment of

summoning to non litigants. Further, these will provide sanctity to the digital

record and digital signatures, which would result in citizen friendly digitized

record keeping.

To give effect to the above Objectives, it is proposed to amend the

Punjab Land Revenue Act, 1887.

Disaster Management
