NOTIFICATION

The 5th January, 2026

No. SEC/PE/SA/2026/815.- In pursuance of the provisions contained in Section 35 of the Punjab State Election Commission Act, 1994, the State Election Commission hereby appoints the following dates for the conduct of elections to elect the Sarpanches and Panches against the vacant posts of Gram Panchayats of villages Kalanaur Mojowal, Kalanaur Purani, Kalanaur P.A.P, Kalanaur Chakri, Kalanaur Dhaki, and Kalanaur Zaildara, of District Gurdaspur, and villages Kazi Kot (70) (Nalagarh-69), Kakka Kandiala (63) and Pandori Gola (79), Block Tarn Taran and Gram Panchayat Mari Kamboke, Block Bhikhiwind, District Tarn Taran, as under:-

PROGRAMME

        (a)     05.01.2026 (Monday)
                First date for filing of Nominations (between 11:00 a.m. to 03:00 p.m.)
        (b)     08.01.2026 (Thursday) (upto 03:00 p.m.)
                as the last date for filing Nominations.
        (c)     09.01.2026 (Friday)
                as the date for Scrutiny of Nominations.
        (d)     10.01.2026 (Saturday)
                as the last date for withdrawal of candidatures, if any (upto 03:00 p.m.)
        (e)     18.01.2026 (Sunday)
                as the date on which the poll shall, if necessary, be taken,
        (f)     19.01.2026 (Monday)
                as the date by which the election process shall be completed.
2.              In pursuance of the provisions of Section 57 of the Act ibid, the Election Commission hereby

fixes poll hours from 08:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m. during the poll on 18.01.2026 (Sunday). ( 211 ) PUNJAB GOVT. GAZ. (EXTRA), JANUARY 5, 2026 (PAUSA 15, 1947 SAKA) 212 3. Counting of votes will take place at the polling stations immediately after the close of poll itself. 4. Model Code of Conduct for the above said Gram Panchayats of District Gurdaspur and Tarn Taran has come into force from the date of issuing of the Notification i.e. 05.01.2026, within the revenue

jurisdiction of the Gram Panchayats, till the completion of election process.
