No. DLG-Census/77/2025/05.- In continuation of this department Notification No. DLG-Census/77/ 2025/07 Dated: 15.12.2025 and in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 4 of the Census Act, 1948 read with Rule 03 of the Census Rules, 1990, as amended from time to time the Governor of Punjab is pleased to appoint the following officers as Charge Census Officers to conduct, supervise and facilitate the Population Census 2027 within the respective jurisdictions mentioned below:-

These officers shall discharge all duties and responsibilities assigned under the Census Act, 1948 and rules framed there under, and shall ensure proper implementation of all Census-related activities in their jurisdictions. ( 1167 ) 1168 PUNJAB GOVT. GAZ. (EXTRA), FEBRUARY 9, 2026 (MAGHA 20, 1947 SAKA) Further, in exercise of powers under sub-section (3) of section 4 of the said Act, are authorised to sign

and perform all statutory functions required for the purpose of the Census within their respective jurisdictions.
