NOTIFICATION

No. Labour-Lab0MISC/40/2022-2L(4L)/94.- In supersession of all earlier notifications issued by the Government of Punjab, Department of Labour, in this regard and further in exercise of the powers conferred by section 18 of the Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1996 (Central Act 27 of 1996), and all other powers in this regard, the Government of Punjab is pleased to constitute the Punjab Building and Other Construction Workers' Welfare Board to exercise the powers conferred on and to perform functions assigned to it under the Act and Rules made there under with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.

The Board shall consist of the following:-

(A) Representative of Government:

1. Chief Minister

Chairman

2. Labour Minister

Senior Vice Chairman &

Member

3. Administrative Secretary Department of Labour Vice Chairman &

Member

4. Nominee of Government of India Member (compulsory) 5. Administrative Secretary Department of Local Government Member 6. Administrative Secretary Department of PWD & BR Member 7. Administrative Secretary Department of Housing and Member

Urban Development

8. Labour Commissioner, Punjab Member Secretary (B) Representative of Employers

(C) Representative of Construction Workers:

2. If anything adverse is found against any member the Government may reconsider their nomination.
